OnePlus TV To Have Its Manufacturing Centre In India By Year-End

Smartphone Company OnePlus entered into the smart TV space by introducing its much-awaited OnePlus TV last week. The product was launched globally including India. The OnePlus TV line-up, called the Q1 is available in India for Rs 69,900. You can order the smart TV from Amazon India.

Only a few days later of the launch, the company announced that OnePlus TVs will be manufactured in India by the end of this year. According to a report, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus have said in an interview:

The company will start manufacturing the newly launched OnePlus TVs in India by 2019 end or in early 2020.

Currently, OnePlus TVs are manufactured and imported from China. Manufacturing the TVs in the country will cut down the overall price of the product for the end-users. That’s because they will not have to pay import duties.

Right now you can get two variants of the OnePlus TV. The first is OnePlus TV Q1 and the second is OnePlus TV Q1 Pro. They are available for Rs 69, 9000 and Rs 99,000 respectively. The company has also said that it will focus only on the premium end of smart TVs. They don’t any plans to manufacture affordable TVs for users. According to the co-founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei, the company right now doesn’t have any plans to offer affordable smart TVs.

The newly launched OnePlus TV is packed with a lot of new features. Taking all its features into account, it can be said that OnePlus TV is one of the best smart TVs available in the market today. It has all the features that you would get in other popular smart TVs. The newly launched.

OnePlus TV comes with a 55 inch 4K QLED panel along with 120 percent NTSC colour gamut. It also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. The good thing is that they run on Android TV 9.0 along with OnePlus connect, Oxygen Play and a game mode.

The company has launched two smart TVs under its Q1 series. The difference between both the models is that OnePlus Q1 Pro comes with a sliding sound bar along with 8 speakers. But OnePlus Q1 has only four speakers. Also, it doesn’t have the sliding sound bar. The cost of both models is different. OnePlus Q1 Pro is more expensive than its counterpart.
