Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is not going to be launched until the end of October. But that hasn’t stopped the players from enjoying the alpha. There is a slew of problems with the launch of all the alpha and beta. News maps are being launched by the developers and they are currently looking into the issues.
The alpha for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was launched post this Thursday. This allowed the gamers to test the gunfight mode or a 2v2 mode where a teammate and players are tasked to eliminating another duo. One who wins five rounds will be victories.
The alpha was launched with three small maps dubbed as pine, king, and speedball. Infinity Ward, the developers of Call of Duty have now launched to more maps and gunfight mode. One of the new maps is called docks. The newly launched map seemed to have a problem as players were unable to connect to it. However, the issue was solved by the developers. The other map is called stack and it resembles an abandoned depot or cargo.
The response for alpha has been quite encouraging. Developers are currently trying to fix a few glitches and other gameplay issues. Many of the players have complained that other players are leaving the gunfight early. In response to this, the developers have said that they are going to introduce penalties. However, it is not clear when these penalties will be incorporated.
Players also have complained regarding the audio and visuals of the game. One of the problems is that the footsteps of a player are very loud, whereas the footsteps of the enemies are soft. According to the players this feature “makes it difficult to detect enemies.” The developers have assured that the audio fixes will be available in the beta version.
Players also had complained about the black and white screen which appears when you are badly injured. According to them, it is disorienting. A red haze seems to appear around the edges of the screen. The developers have given their word that they are going to look into this problem and fix it.
You can avail Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at PlayStation 4. You also don’t need a PS Plus subscription. However, the alpha is soon going to get over on 25th August. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is going to be available on 25th October on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One.
