Apple launches its latest iPhone12 series, iPhone 12, iPhone mini, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and iPhone 12 pro, where iPhone 12 mini starts from Rs 69,900, and iPhone 12 starts the range from Rs. 79,900. The company reveals the iPhone 12 series on Tuesday at its virtual event. The series comes with an affordable and smallest set iPhone mini, iPhone 12 which is a successor of iPhone 11 similarly, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max are successors of iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. All the lineups in the new release are powered by Apple’s A14 Bionic chip which is available in the latest iPad Air and supports 5G. Company in this event has launched HomePod mini and MagSafe wireless charger alongside the iPhone 12 series.
1. iPhone 12 Mini
iPhone 12 mini runs on iOS 14 and powered by A14 Bionic SoC. It is a dual-SIM(Nano + eSIM) smartphone with a Super Retina XDR OLED display. The smartphone has a protective Ceramic Shield glass cover on the top and has a 5.4-inch display screen with an aluminium frame. iPhone 12 mini has 12MP dual cameras at the rear, which includes wide-angle(f/2.4 aperture) and ultra-wide angle(f/1.6 aperture) and features 12MP front camera. It is the most affordable set in the series which comes in three variants 64GB, 128GB and 256Gb of internal storage. The phone is available in Black, Green, PRODUCT(Red), Blue and white colour options.
2. iPhone 12
iPhone 12 also is a dual-SIM(Nano + eSIM) smartphone that runs on iOS 14 and is powered by A14 Bionic SoC. It has a glass cover of Ceramic Shield. The size of the iPhone 12 is greater than the iPhone 12 mini and has a 6.1-inch display. The phone has an aluminium frame which is similar to its previous models. Coming to the camera, iPhone 12 has 12MP dual cameras at the rear, which includes wide-angle and ultra-wide angle with f/2.4 aperture and f/1.6 aperture respectively and features 12MP on the front. It has the least internal storage of 64GB and goes up to 256GB. The colour options available are Black, Green, PRODUCT(Red), Blue and white.
3. iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Max Pro
Both the phones are powered by the A14 Bionic Soc and run on iOS 14. iPhone Pro and iPhone Pro Max, both are dual-SIM(Nano+eSIM) and have a protective covering of Ceramic Shield glass. They have a Super Retina XDR OLED display. iPhone Pro has a 6.1-inch display screen, whereas the iPhone 12 Pro max has the biggest in the iPhone 12 series, a 6.7-inch display screen. Both the phones have a 12MP front camera whereas, at the rear, they have triple cameras each of 12MP with a wide lens, an ultra-wide lens with 120-degree FOV, and the last telephoto lens. They have the least internal storage of 128GB and goes up to 512GB. The Pro models have a stainless steel frame with a premium look. iPhone 12 Pro and Max Pro are available in Pacific Bule, Graphite, Gold, and Silver color variants.
In India, iPhone 12 mini’s 64GB variant price is Rs.69,900, its 128GB variant price is Rs. 74,900 and the top model 256GB variant price is Rs. 84,900. Whereas iPhone 12’s 64Gb variant price is 79,900, its 128GB variant price is Rs. 84,900 and the top model 256GB variant price is Rs. 94,900. However, the iPhone 12 Pro’s base variant(128GB) price is Rs.1,19,900, its 256GB and 512GB variants price are Rs. 1,29,900 and Rs. 1,49,900 respectively. And the iPhone Pro Max starts from Rs. 1,29,900 for the base model(128GB) and for 256GB and 512GB models are of price Rs. 1,39,900 and Rs. 1,59,900 respectively. Whereas in the US, the iPhone series base model iPhone 12 mini starts from $600(Rs. 51,200 approx.) and the iPhone 12 base model starts from $799(Rs. 58,600 approx.). And the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max starts from
$999(Rs. 73,200 approx.) and $1,099(Rs. 80,400 approx.).
